An initiative of Craig Nelson, a faculty member committed to the campus SOTL initiative and a Carnegie Scholar, led to an institutional policy of partially funding travel of faculty members to attend teaching-related conferences. Candidates for support must show demonstrable connection to their scholarly interests in teaching and learning and provide a quid pro quo to the campus in return.

Craig Nelson is a co-founder of the campus SOTL initiative. His contributions are many. It’s very helpful to have a teacher-scholar of his prominence involved!
