-Mandatory recitations (1 hr/wk, 20 students); attendance 95% vs. 10%.
-Weekly homework (10 vs. 30, graded).
-On-line quizzes (www chapter reviews).
-Weekly feedback from homework, group problems, on-line quiz, in-class questions.
-Personal contact with instructor and follow-up if performance declined.
